Kate Lindsey (born in Houston, Missouri) is a documentary-style, portrait, and marketing photographer in Ozark, Missouri. She graduated Cum Laude at Ozarks Technical Community College in 2017 with an AA and graduated Cum Laude in 2020 from Missouri State University with a BFA in Photography, double minored in Art History and Sign Language Studies.

Her work has been exhibited in the Springfield, Missouri area, such as the Student Exhibition Center. She received honorable mention for a non-profit photograph, Michelle Lindsey, Care to Learn and was one of twenty people who made it into the Photographic Society Exhibition by Zora J. Murff in 2019. In 2020, Kate’s work with Champions Committed to KIDS was exhibited online at MSU's BFA Art Senior Exhibition (https://art-design.missouristate.edu/exhibit/bfa-art- 2020/artist/index.php?mid=BvHaYbY9typqZr0kXkSCt4) and at the Brick City Gallery for her Senior Exhibition.

Her practices in photography examine the idea of giving back to the community by providing local non-profits with photographs to promote their organization. She uses the concept of the decisive moment (the essence of the event) and personal experiences to show her audience how important it is to be a philanthropist in modern-day society. Kate’s work also explores the idea of portraits by trying to tell a story with individuals' personalities who inspire her to photograph how she interprets them.  Her studio lighting photographs display her knowledge of how to use multiple types of lighting equipment and several different lighting setups as well as a variety of posing to convey her images.
